The degree show collection, University of Edinburgh, 2017, is a bold and colourful set of statement pieces made of vitreous enamel, copper, sterling silver and fine silver wires. All pieces can be worn as both brooches and necklaces. During the creative process I embraced the total freedom provided by the art school and experimented with colours, textures and application of enamel. In this collection, the turbulent art world of Edinburgh is brought together with the deep blue of the calm Canadian lakes. The abstract forms of the collection radiate youthfulness and joy – they are worth a blast of a graduation party.
